ResourcesThis site provides practical information on how people with and without disabilities can prepare for an emergency. It also provides information for family members of, and service providers to, people with disabilities. In addition, this site includes information for emergency planners and first responders to help them to better prepare for serving persons with disabilities. Emergency Preparedness and People with Disabilities The Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) has been working to facilitate change in the area of workplace emergency preparedness, this site provides resources for ensuring emergency preparedness in the workplace. Maryland Department of Disabilities The Maryland Department of Disabilities offers a variety of resources for assist individuals with disabilities in making their emergency plan. This site is made possible by the American Red Cross and other community-based organizations to help individual's and their families prepare for natural and human-caused disasters. The site offers basic information as well as specific information for seniors, children, people with disabilities and animal and pet owners.
